Continuous improvement; SRS team upskill.

A number of SRS staff from the Processing shed have started a Wood Pallet Manufacturing course. This is a level 2 certificate qualification run by Competenz.

We have broken the trainees into two groups to maximize the tutor to student ratio. This will ensure everyone gets as much as they can from the classroom sessions. The course covers ten modules from the Solid Wood Manufacturing sector. If all goes well, each of them should complete the course and receive their certificate in December 2021.

This is an excellent certificate for the team as it builds on the skills many have learnt on the job giving them a much broader knowledge of; timber properties, manufacturing processes and additional health & safety skills.
